How we got here
Don opened the shop on a single bay in 1970. He wasn't trying to build the biggest mechanic shop in Denver — he was trying to build the one his neighbors trusted. Fifty-some years later, the same principle holds: we rebuild what we can rebuild, we replace what we can't, and we don't sell work that doesn't need doing.
Garrett took over from his grandfather and kept the things that mattered — the same lifts, the same warranty, the same answer when somebody calls in a panic about a transmission slipping on I-70 — and brought in modern diagnostics for the cars that need them. The shop is still family-owned. Still on the same block.
What makes us different
Most shops at this size won't touch a rebuild. They'll quote you a remanufactured drop-in from a catalog, charge you the difference, and call it a day. We still rebuild — manuals, autos, four-wheel drive transfer cases. If a rebuild's the right call, that's what you get. If a replacement's the right call, we'll tell you, and we'll source the part. Either way, you know what you're paying for.
